Dear Confirmation Leader:
Here’s the information you need to register for Confirmation Camp 2008 at Lutherock!
This letter highlights information that EVERYONE should READ before coming to
camp. And
use these links to download the needed paperwork.

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY to ensure that this important information gets to your campers in a timely fashion. We ask
that adult leaders make us aware of any health or dietary concerns BEFORE you arrive, so that
our staff may be prepared. If you WANT a copy of these forms and you can’t download them
from the website, just call Leah and ask for them.
OK, here’s what needs to happen now:
- Each confirmation leader (YOU!) or individual churches not in a cluster counts the number
of campers & leaders who will be coming this summer & gives the number (count males &
females separately) to their cluster coordinator or if not in a cluster directly to Lutherock.
- The cluster coordinator gives the TOTAL number of boys & girls expected to Van by February
1, 2008. Your lodging (for both campers & leaders) cannot be confirmed until we have
all numbers in from all clusters. (And even then we may need to shuffle areas.)
- Then each leader (YOU!) registers his/her campers & leaders using the forms provided
(Please DO NOT use other forms!) Registration forms AND deposits are due no later than
March 15, 2008. We suggest that you fill in as much as possible BEFORE you copy the
forms & distribute them to your campers. Ask your cluster coordinator whether you should
send the registrations to him/her or straight to Lutherock Registration. A deposit of
$125.00 must accompany each registration. This deposit is non-refundable. Any fees paid
above the deposit will be refunded if cancellation is received four weeks prior to the camp
week. Children of Confirmation leaders staying in the same housing with them (if available
housing warrants) require only a $25.00 deposit. The same refund policy applies. Please register
children in regular camp programs (not in Confirmation or staying with parent) using
the form in the LLMI Summer Brochure or online at www.llmi.net. PLEASE NOTE: The super
early bird discount for those PAYING IN FULL to receive a $25.00 discount is
March 15 (the same day registration forms are due)!!!Further discount information may be found here.
FINAL PAYMENTS (if not sent with registrations) ARE DUE THREE WEEKS
BEFORE YOUR CAMP SESSION BEGINS!
We are offering that one leader may come FREE if the entire cluster registers together. (All
the money & all the registration forms for the whole cluster in one envelope.) This makes things
SO much easier for our registration staff.
If you are not registering your entire cluster together, then PLEASE make sure that each
congregation’s registration forms (for all campers, leaders & family members staying with
leaders) come together in one envelope with the cluster name on EACH piece of paper.
INCLUDE A LIST of the AMOUNT TO CREDIT EACH PERSON along with ANY CHECK! THANKS!
If your camper numbers change, please let your cluster coordinator know (not Lutherock). It is the coordinator’s responsibility to keep an accurate count of your TOTAL cluster’s
numbers and to keep Lutherock informed and aware of any potential problems.
Rates for 2008:
Confirmation Camper: $399 (see website for discount information)
Confirmation Leader: $175 Stone Lodge, $270 Crow’s Nest
The spouse of a Confirmation Leader may share leader’s room and eat all meals for the same
rate as the leader (if housing is available). The cost for children of leaders staying with
them in the same room is $160.
PLEASE BE AWARE that space for single rooms is seldom available on camp. Please indicate
that you MUST have a single room if that is your preference. Otherwise, a roommate may be
chosen for you if you do not list a preferred roommate. If we find that we are unable to accommodate
your “must have” single room request, we will contact you so that you can choose
to make your own alternate housing arrangements off-site. IMPORTANT: On some weeks where we have groups that bring many leaders we may have to limit
the number we can house on-site so that all the groups have representation on camp.
Discounts & Scholarships: In order to ensure that all may participate in LLMI programs,
regardless of financial need, discounts and scholarships are available. More information can

Each camper MUST have a HEALTH FORM/WAIVER signed by a PARENT to be able to participate
in camp activities. The health form/waiver must be turned into the registration office
by MAY 1, 2008. Pre-Camp screening of these 3000+ forms is a requirement of the
American Camp Association (ACA). We suggest that you ask campers to make a copy of the
form before they send it and bring that with you as well to registration. Please check to
make sure that both the form is signed in three places. We cannot accept a camper into
our care until the properly signed 2008 health form has been screened by LLMI staff.

Roommate Requests/Assignments: If possible, roommate requests are honored within the
same Confirmation cluster. Campers may not request more than one roommate. (The same
two names should appear on both registration forms.) Groups of four WILL BE SPLIT.
Here are the important dates to remember for
Confirmation Camp 2008 at Lutherock:
- Number of participants (males/females, campers & leaders) for your TOTAL cluster is
due from each cluster’s coordinator to Van on or before February 1. (So you'll need to
give your congregation’s numbers to your cluster coordinator BEFORE that.)
- Registration forms AND $125 deposit (or full payment if seeking the Super
Early Bird discount) for each camper and leader (and leader’s families staying
with them) are due no later than MARCH 15.
- Remaining balance due for those seeking the Super Early Bird Discount
Deadline is MARCH 15 (postmarked on or before March 15).
- Balance of all fees is due THREE WEEKS before your arrival on camp (if
not seeking the Super Early Bird Discount).
- Registering less than two weeks before your arrival will assess a $25 late fee per participant.
