Dear Lutheridge Campfirmation Leader:

Here is the information you need to register for Campfirmation 2008 at Lutheridge! Please read the information below and use these links to download the needed paperwork.

We ask that adult leaders make us aware of any behavior, health or dietary concerns at least
TWO WEEKS BEFORE you arrive, so that our staff may be prepared.

OK, here’s what needs to happen now:

  • Each confirmation leader (YOU!) counts the number of campers & leaders who will be coming this summer & gives the number of males & the number of females (We need them separately) to their cluster coordinator.
  • The cluster coordinator gives the TOTAL number of boys & girls expected to Pastor Mary by March 1, 2008. Your lodging (for both campers & leaders) cannot be confirmed until we have all numbers in from all clusters. (We may need to shuffle areas if numbers change.)
  • Each leader (YOU!) registers his/her campers & leaders using the LUTHERIDGE CAMPFIRMATION forms provided above. (Please DO NOT use other forms!) We suggest that you fill in as much as possible BEFORE you copy the forms & distribute them to your campers. Ask your cluster coordinator whether you should send the registrations to him/her or straight to Lutheridge Registration. A deposit of $125.00 must accompany each registration. This deposit is non-refundable. Any fees paid above the deposit will be refunded if cancellation is received four weeks prior to the camp week. Children of Confirmation leaders staying in the same housing with them require only a $25.00 deposit. The same refund policy applies. Please register children in regular camp programs (not in Campfirmation or staying with parent) using the form in the LLMI Summer Brochure or online by clicking here.
  • Discounts: The super early bird discount for those paying in full to receive a $25.00
    discount is March 15. The early bird discount of $10.00 with a paid in full registration
    is April 15. Further discount information may be found here.

ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE DUE IN THEIR ENTIRETY THREE WEEKS
BEFORE YOUR CAMP SESSION BEGINS!

NO SPACES ARE HELD for Campers or Leaders without registration forms.

We are offering that one leader may come FREE if the entire cluster registers together. (All
the money & all the registration forms for the whole cluster in one envelope.) This makes
things SO much easier for our registration staff.

If you are using regular post to register, but not registering your entire cluster together,
then PLEASE make sure that each congregation’s registration forms (for all campers, leaders
& family members staying with leaders) come together in one envelope with the cluster name
on EACH piece of paper. Please INCLUDE A LIST of the AMOUNT TO CREDIT EACH PERSON along with ANY CHECK! THANKS!

If you are registering online, you will need to plan to pay deposits or full payments with a
MasterCard or Visa. If you intend to pay by check, then online registration is not option for
you at this time. Please go to the website, and look for the Lutheridge Campfirmation link under the Summer Programs, Youth menu option on the left side of the home page. All registrations must be submitted individually (one for each youth and adult participant).

If your camper numbers change, please let your cluster coordinator know (not Lutheridge). It is the coordinator’s responsibility to keep an accurate count of your
TOTAL cluster’s numbers and to keep Lutheridge informed of changes in the number of
CABINS needed for your group.

Rates for 2008:
Campfirmation Camper: $399 (see website for discount information)
Campfirmation Leader: $270 Thornburg/Bacot, $320 Kohnjoy
The spouse of a Campfirmation Leader may share leader’s room and eat all meals for the same
rate as the leader (if housing is available). The cost for children of leaders staying with
them
in the same room is $160.

PLEASE BE AWARE that space for single rooms is seldom available on camp. Please indicate that you MUST have a single room if that is your preference. Otherwise, a roommate may be chosen for you if you do not list a preferred roommate. If we find that we are unable to accommodate your “must have” single room request, we will contact you so that you can choose to make your own alternate housing arrangements off-site.

Discounts & Scholarships: In order to ensure that all may participate in LLMI programs,
regardless of financial need, discounts and scholarships are available. All scholarship forms
postmarked or received online by February 1st will be processed and parents notified of
award by March 10 so that the early discount deadline may still be met. More information can

Each camper MUST have a HEALTH FORM/WAIVER signed by a PARENT to be able to participate in camp activities. The health form/waiver must be turned into the registration office by MAY 1, 2008. Pre-Camp screening of these 3000+ forms is a requirement of the
American Camp Association (ACA). We suggest that you ask campers to make a copy of the
form before they send it and bring that with you as well to registration. Please check to
make sure that both the form is signed in three places. We cannot accept a camper into
our care until the properly signed 2008 health form has been screened by LLMI staff
. You can download this form at under the forms section of the website (under Youth Programs).

Roommate Requests/Assignments: If possible, roommate requests are honored within the same Confirmation cluster. Campers may not request more than one roommate. (The same two names should appear on both registration forms.) Groups of four WILL BE SPLIT.

Medication Forms: NEW this year, we are asking that parents fill out this form and send it
to camp with any medication in the original container. We cannot accept medications in other
containers. The person authorized to bring the child to camp may fill out this form if a parent
forgets or is not available. I’d suggest you print out a bunch and have them ready for
parents to fill out as you are loading up the bus to come to camp.

Here are the important dates to remember for
Campfirmation 2008 at Lutheridge:

  • February 1st: Scholarship forms need to be in to assure that awards are made before the Super Early Bird Discount. Applicants will be notified by March 10.
  • March 1st: Number of participants (males/females, campers & leaders) for your TOTAL cluster is due from each cluster’s coordinator to Mary. (So please give your congregation’s numbers to your cluster coordinator BEFORE that.)
  • March 15th: Super Early Bird Discount ($25)
  • April 15th: Early Bird ($10)
  • Three weeks before your arrival: All registration forms & Balance of all fees must
    be in and any helpful information regarding campers communicated with program directors.
  • Registering less than two weeks before your arrival will assess a $25 late fee per participant.
