Special Giving Opportunities
Scholarships--Urgent Need
Each year, LLMI provides full and partial scholarships to children and youth that need financial assistance in order to participate in summer camp. This year, pastors and parents are responding as never before to offers for scholarship assistance. More than 50 kids registered for Christmas in July who all need financial assistance. We are delighted to fund everyone who asks. However, LLMI needs at least $59,000 in additional gift support to provide all the scholarships requested this year.
Mentally Challenged Program
For more than 37 years, Lutheridge has provided camp opportunities for mentally challenged youth and adults. This program enables these special campers to experience all the fun of summer camp. This program requires extra staff and additional outing opportunities in addition to scholarship assistance for participants. Gifts needed:
- Mentally Challenged Camp Benefactor--$5,000
- Outing Money for special trips--$800
- 10-15 full scholarships ($10,000 total need) $500 Each
- Additional staffing costs--$300
Malawi Outreach
Each summer, up to four individuals travel from Malawi, in southern Africa to Lutheridge to help lead the summer program. Their impact is profound as campers learn first-hand about the rapid growth of Lutheranism in Malai as well as the struggle for survival in this country devastated by famine and AIDS. Gifts needed:
- 1 Malawi sponsor---$5,000
- Malawi plane tickets (4 needed) $2,500 each
- Malawi staff stipends (4 needed) $250 each
- Malawi staff room and board (4 needed) $900 each
- Malawi partners (12 needed) $500 each
Summer Staff
Each summer, LLMI hires over 120 college-aged counselors and area directors to share their faith and provide Christ-centered community to the thousands of childrena nd youth who attend camp. These counselors complete the summer having learned new skills, strengthened in faith, and eager to serve the church in their daily lives. In fact, many go on to seminary and serve the church as ordained and rostered leaders.

Music Week
Music Week has had a significant impact on worship and music in Lutheran congregations throughout the Southeast for decades. The following gifts are needed to maintain the quality program and keep fees affordable to the participants:
- Music Week Patrons (4 needed)--$5,000 each
- 1 adult choral clinician sponsor--$2,500
- Rental of music week instruments--$1,500
- Music for the week--$1,000

Lutheridge is in need of a commercial grade lawn mower--new or used. Cost is $2,500 +
